Assistant Professor of Biology

Wesleyan College | Macon, Georgia

Full-Time, Tenure-Track Position Starting August 2026

The Biology Department at Wesleyan College, a liberal arts college for women in Macon, Georgia, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 2026. We seek a vertebrate biologist who is dedicated to excellence in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students through both classroom instruction and collaborative research.

About the Position

The successful candidate will teach courses in Comparative Vertebrate Biology and Animal Physiology, as well as contribute to Wesleyan’s interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program. Additional teaching responsibilities may include introductory biology courses and upper-level electives in the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate research and inclusive pedagogy.
