Position Information

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Psychology; however, ABD applicants with relevant teaching and research experience will also be considered.
  • We are seeking candidates with experience in teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduate students in Developmental Psychology, particularly in child-related areas.

Required Courses to Teach:

  • Child Development
  • Lifespan Development
  • Other child-related courses ((e.g. Social, Language, Adolescent Development)
  • General Psychology
  • Research Methods
  • Senior Seminar (in area of specialty)

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach additional child-related courses such as Social Development, Language Development, Adolescent Development, and Child Psychopathology.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Academic advising of undergraduate students
  • Mentoring independent study, undergraduate research projects, and internships
  • Departmental service (e.g., supervising the Honor Society)
  • Holding regular office hours
  • Attending department and faculty meetings
