The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor position beginning August 2026. The department currently supports biology major and minor. The mathematics courses that we offer include service courses for all majors in the University. Once we have the conditions to resume mathematics programs in the future the candidate will be responsible for teaching all levels of undergraduate mathematics courses. The candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. We value experiences in teaching diverse and multicultural student populations and evidence in excellent teaching.

Requirements
The minimum requirement for the position is an earned Ph.D. degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field by the time of hiring. Responsibilities include teaching mathematics courses offered by the department, scholarship activities and services to the department and the university. Preference will be given to the candidates whose research areas are related to the algorithms of the current artificial intelligence.
