Job Description
The University of Missouri-Kansas City Department of Economics announces a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates whose work complements the department’s heterodox orientation. Applications from candidates with fields in any area are encouraged but should include econometrics and quantitative empirical methods. Responsibilities include:
- scholarly research/publishing,
- pursuit of extramural funding,
- high-quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, and
- service to students, the School, the university, and the discipline.
Assistant Professor of Economics (Any Field, Current Heterodox Approaches and/or Econometrics). This is a full-time, 9-month academic year, ranked, benefit-eligible tenure-track faculty position. Our academic workloads and schedules provide for a positive work/life balance.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field is required at time of employment. ABD candidates with an expected degree completion date before start date also will be considered; please provide expected date of award in your application. We seek candidates whose work complements the department’s heterodox orientation.
