Position Summary
The College of Education and Human Development seeks a full time, on campus Assistant Professor in our graduate Educational Leadership program. The successful candidate will teach online administration and supervision courses and recruit and supervise students, while fulfilling scholarship and service responsibilities. Master’s level candidates will be applying for a non-tenure track position; Doctoral level candidates will be applying for a tenure track position. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Essential Functions
- Teach a full time graduate load of 12 (Assistant Professor) – 15 (Lecturer) hours per fall/spring semester (Summer teaching opportunities are possible).
- Supervise students in field experience and administrative items.
- Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
- Depending on faculty designation, participate in scholarly activities including publishing, presenting, and/or grant writing.
- Provide professional service to campus and community.
- Interact positively and productively with colleagues, students, local school personnel, and state-wide stakeholders.
- Support, promote, and recruit for graduate programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Earned M.Ed. in school leadership or a related field.
- Has held school administrator’s license.
- Minimum of four years as a successful school principal at an accredited public or independent P-12 school.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ed.D. or Ph.D.) in school leadership or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Experience as a building leader in a public school district.
- District-level administrative experience.
- First hand experience conducting research in or about schools.
- Experience teaching online graduate courses in educational leadership.
- Experience working with students with a range of backgrounds, assets, or needs.
