COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary Range: Yearly Salary of $86,901 – $121,795 (25/26 Faculty Salary Schedule); Placement within this range is determined by teaching experience, other related professional experience, and academic degrees. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
Santa Rosa Junior College is seeking an individual with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and instructional administrators to provide high quality programs and services to our district, our community, and most importantly, our students. This is a full-time, regular contract position in the Health Sciences Department at Santa Rosa Junior College, beginning Fall Semester, August 2025. Appointments are contingent upon funding and Board approval.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The radiologic technology program at Santa Rosa Junior College includes instruction in the operation of x-ray and digital imaging equipment, positioning for radiologic procedures, creating and processing images, patient care, radiologic physics, radiation protection and observational experience in other advanced imaging modalities. In addition to the didactic coursework, a minimum of 1850 clinical hours are required in hospitals and radiology departments affiliated with SRJC. Please see Rad Tech Program website.
The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the clinical education component of the radiologic technology program. This position serves as the primary liaison between the academic program and clinical sites, ensuring students receive comprehensive hands-on training while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards. The role combines administrative coordination, student supervision, educational support, and radiation safety responsibilities to facilitate successful program operations and student outcomes.
Essential Functions:
Some of the key responsibilities of the Clinical Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Obtaining and maintaining appropriate clinical sites for students to complete clinical requirements.
- Tracking the progression of students’ clinical performance weekly, including ensuring that required competencies are obtained, and following up with students when documentation is missing.
- Coordinating of all clinical placements ranging from primary to secondary rotations.
- Maintaining positive relationships with clinical affiliates through consistent in person visits which may include travel to site up to 100 miles away from SRJC.
- Promoting and maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements pertaining to the clinical experience for the students.
- Serving as the program’s on-site Radiation Safety Officer.
- Supporting the program director to ensure effective program operations.
- Keeping up to date in the knowledge of program/occupation-specific material and educational instruction.
- Participating in didactic and/or clinical instruction.
- Participating in District or department service such as committee work, evaluations, student learning outcomes assessment, and hiring committees.
- Providing excellent instruction and support to radiologic technology students, which may include evening, weekend, online or hybrid and/or off-campus assignments.
- Developing and revising curriculum to meet the diverse needs of radiologic technology students, incorporating current instructional technologies and best practices.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.

Required:
A Bachelor’s degree AND two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) related experience;
OR an Associate’s degree AND six years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) related experience;
OR the equivalent;
Additional Requirements:
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; AND
- Current certificate as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of California Department of Health Services / Radiologic Health Branch; AND
- Current State of California Fluoroscopy permit.
Preferred:
- Minimum of six years of documented full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience as a radiologic technologist; AND
- Minimum of two years of documented full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience as a clinical instructor in the healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated evidence of innovative classroom teaching
- Experience with educational software relevant to discipline
- Experience coordinating a radiologic technology program, curriculum development, and assessment
- Experience in community outreach initiatives, and fostering partnerships with local organizations.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
