Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment, Data, an. Lead the development of strategic plans for each area in Student and Community Development. Assess progress in Life Design, Community Engagement,and Achievement Initiatives. Collaborate with the Senior Associate Dean to evaluate and implement strategic plans for all areas of Student and Community Development. Create dashboards to assess cohort and campus-wide initiatives (e.g. Pathway to a Vibrant Campus Community audit).
- Cohort Initiatives. Streamline the recruitment and admissions processes for cohort initiatives (e.g. Life Design, Bonner, RISE, Sustained Dialogues, CILC). Design and lead support efforts for programs that help students develop confidence, resilience, and the skills needed for success inside and outside the classroom. Design the annual programming schedule for existing cohort programs (such as RISE). Develop program outcomes and plan collaborative activities. Under the guidance of the Associate Dean, lead the development of new cohort initiatives to address the needs of Allegheny’s student population. Track student and program progress through scheduled check-ins, development plans, and collaborative engagement across campus departments
- Community Education. Lead operational planning for major divisional events, programs, and initiatives (including providing support for the Culture, Identity, Leadership Coalition). Assist with the planning and coordination of campus-wide educational and community-centered celebrations, such as First-Gen Celebration Week and Day of Service, collaborating with campus partners such as Student Life and Academic Affairs to align programming with institutional goals around student belonging, retention, and inclusive excellence.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 4-7 years of related professional experience required
Required Knowledge
- Knowledge of student success frameworks, program design, data analysis, and relevant educational and training opportunities necessary to create a vibrant campus for students and employees.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in mentorship and coaching. Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible way. Ability to develop and execute programs for students and staff.
Compensation
Starting salary will be competitive, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Expected starting salary: $70,000.00 full time, exempt
