Position Summary:

The College of Business and Economic Development at Arkansas Tech University has a faculty opening for a full-time, tenure-track position in management with a starting date of August 2026. The School of Business is accredited by AACSB and offers bachelor’s degrees with majors in Accounting, Business Data Analytics, Finance, Business Management, Health Information Management, and Digital Marketing, as well as offering an MBA program. The typical full-time course load is 21 credit hours/academic year (4:3 or 3:4 load).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Business, both on campus and in virtual modalities.

Effectively advise students.

Engage students in high impact learning practices.

Conduct scholarly research consistent with AACSB guidelines and School of Business policy.

Provide impactful departmental, college, university, and professional service to the university, community and state.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge – understanding of academic discipline and teaching pedagogy as it applies to introductory, upper-level and graduate management and business administration courses;

Skills – organization, leadership, communication;

Abilities – responsive, collegial, online teaching skills.

Minimum Requirements:

PhD-or ABD with completion by August 2027-in Management/Operations Management/ Supply Chain Management from a regionally accredited institution.

Ability to teach Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, and other Management courses.

Ability to develop a sustainable research program.

Excellent oral & written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Management/Operations Management/ Supply Chain Management from an AACSB- accredited business school or closely-related discipline.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard).

Prior Industry and professional Experience in areas of Operations/ Supply Chain Management.

Relevant industry or professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, PMP).

Evidence of teaching excellence at the university level and commitment to continuous improvement in teaching, mentoring, and engagement with undergraduate and graduate students.

Experience with online instruction.

Record of scholarly activity and strong research interests in management.

Ability to seek external funding.

Commitment to creating and fostering industry relationships.

Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:

The location of this position is on the Russellville Campus of ATU, with an office located in Rothwell Hall.

This position will teach in both online and traditional modalities on a regular basis and will interact with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders in a variety of campus and online settings.
