Position description
The Department of English at the University of California Santa Barbara invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Literature and Mind studies. We welcome applications from scholars of literatures in English working in Cognitive Humanities and/or Health Humanities, broadly conceived, with expertise in any literary-historical period. Applications from scholars who pursue embodied cognition, race and mind, and/or animal minds are especially welcome. The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in Literature and Mind and contribute productively to our department’s distinctive research and teaching centers.
