Department:Franklin Pierce University

Franklin Pierce University seeks a dynamic candidate with expertise in creative writing, particularly in digital creation and storytelling, as well as American literature. The successful applicant will teach within our literature and composition curriculums and contribute to our emerging focus on both digital and traditional storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in literature and composition, including the FYI first-year seminar course.
  • Develop and contribute to curriculum focused on digital and traditional storytelling.
  • Advise undergraduate students on academic and career matters.
  • Engage in departmental activities that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the curriculum.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in English, Creative Writing, or a related field required by the time of appointment.
  • Expertise in creative writing and American literature.
  • Experience in audio/visual production, such as podcasting, and digital publication of literary magazines is desirable.
  • Commitment to teaching in writing and general education programs.
