REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position is directly accountable and responsible to the appropriate Assistant Dean and the Dean of HAS (Humanities, Arts, & Sciences.)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include supporting student success by teaching courses in chemistry.
Benefits
COMPENSATION: Nine-month full-time, non-tenure track position. Minimum starting salary $47,100 (bachelors required) OR $58,874 (masters required), based on experience and education. Paid health insurance, life insurance, retirement, employee tuition waiver, spouse/dependent tuition discount.

Position Description & Details
Duties include student mentoring, student retention, record keeping, campus committee engagement, submitting assessments/grades by established deadlines, engaging with industry partners, developing and maintaining academic curriculum, and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Academic Division Dean.
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in chemistry or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credits in Chemistry or a combination of education and equivalent experiences to be reviewed with application.
- Good computer software skills – Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., email and electronic calendar, and strong internet familiarity
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with students of diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postsecondary teaching experience.
- Curriculum development, teaching, and/or training experience.
- Experience with hands-on teaching methods.
- Industry-related certifications.
- Appropriate doctoral degree
