The Jack Welch College of Business & Technology invites applications for one visiting assistant faculty position in the undergraduate finance program starting August 2025. A doctorate in finance or a graduate degree with significant and ongoing business experience is required, along with evidence of excellence in teaching and/or teaching potential. The ideal candidate is expected to teach undergraduate financial management and corporate finance courses with a preference given to candidates who can demonstrate experience in these areas.

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

  1. Teach introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in corporate finance.
  2. Contribute to curricular development activities.
  3. Participate in department, school, and university-level services, including advising students.
  4. Incorporate financial modeling using Excel into classes.
  5. Assist in the creation and delivery of curricular and professional development activities relevant for students pursuing careers in corporate finance.

About the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology

SHU’s Jack Welch College of Business & Technology is AACSB-accredited and enrolls over 2,000 students. It is housed on SHU’s West Campus, approximately one mile from the main campus. Opened in the Fall 2019, in the former world headquarters of General Electric, the west campus is focused on digital innovation and how it is transforming business in the 21st century.
