The School of Business & Public Leadership at Johnson University Tennessee invites applications for a full-time Director of Accounting Program Administration.

Base Pay: Competitive
Employee Status: Full Time (40 hours per week), with Benefits
Required Education: MBA with 18 credit hours in accounting; or a master’s or terminal degree in accounting from a regionally accredited university
Start Date: January 1, 2025
Job Summary:
The Director of the Accounting Program will constitute a full-time faculty position with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Johnson University. The Director will carry a full faculty workload and fulfill the corresponding responsibilities as assigned by the Dean, School of Business and Leadership. The Director shall be responsible for all aspects of the academic program. The Director will be a key face of the accounting program.
Requirements:
- Possess an MBA with 18 credit hours in Accounting; or a master’s or terminal degree in accounting from a regionally accredited university
- Proficient with the use of standard office and internet applications for personal computers.

- Become proficient (with provided training) in the Sakai learning management platform.
- Design and deliver Online class instruction through the development of lesson plans to meet course competencies, the development of activities that support lesson objectives, and the development of activities to assist students in developing critical thinking skills and practically engaging with the materials.
- Experienced practitioner/scholar – abreast of developments within the accounting discipline and practical knowledge gained from organizational experience.
- Coordinate Affiliate Faculty training and professional development.
- Active CPA License preferred, but not required.
