Duties and Responsibilities
Teaches graduate courses in Applied or Management Statistics, incorporates Predictive analytics, Data Analytics, Data Analysis, Data visualization in courses in public administration public policy, and our MPA management courses. Assist the MPA Program with creating and reporting NASPAA Accreditation. Secondary teaching areas of capabilities are in Public Policy Analysis, Organizational Development and Human Resources at the undergraduate/graduate levels are desirable (willing to teach in other programs in the department highly desirable). Performs scholarly activities and research that lead to publications in quality refereed journals in public administration (and closely related areas); active involvement in professional organizations as well as service contributions at the departmental, college, and university levels. Facilitate internships with government agencies for students. This is a full-time, tenure track faculty position.

Experience
Evidence of college teaching excellence is expected. Candidates should provide copies of recent teaching evaluations, if available. Applicant must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, and technology applications in the classroom. Effective communication skills are essential. Candidates must be committed to working with diverse populations and be conversant in multicultural issues.
Demonstrated success in grant writing is preferred.
Significant experience in the public administration field, such as relevant research, government, and industry experience (highly preferred).
Education
Ph.D. in Public Administration or a related field from an accredited institution (NASPAA preferred) at the time of hire.
Applications at the associate level should show a record of outstanding research and teaching as well as evidence of policy engagement, broadly construed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must have ability to teach Applied or Management Statistics, incorporates Predictive analytics, Data Analytics, Data Analysis, Data visualization in courses in the Public Administration Program.
Ability to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance during regularly scheduled days and work hours is an essential function.
Ability and willingness to work the hours in the evening and weekend.
Ability and willingness to travel is required.
