Full-Time English Instructor – Savannah, GA

Point University is seeking a full-time English instructor for its programs in the
Savannah-Chatham County area. This position teaches primarily in the dual credit enrolment (DCE) program for high schoolers earning college credit while completing high school requirements.
Courses primarily include:

• ENG 101 – Critical Reading & Writing I
• ENG 102 – Critical Reading & Writing II

This role also serves as the DCE faculty lead for English courses which includes working with DCE site staff to recruit and schedule adjunct faculty, overseeing adjunct faculty evaluations, and working with university administration to ensure course standards are met.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate degree in English is required; terminal degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching courses at the collegiate level.
• Experience in online course development or significant online course redesign.
• Effective teaching ability with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to be a professional role model and mentor
• Ability to recruit and schedule adjunct instructors
• Commitment to undergraduate education, professional growth, service, and scholarship in a distinctively Christian setting, including agreement with the University’s mission and goals, values, and doctrinal statement.
