Brescia University located in Owensboro Kentucky is searching for full time/11-month associate or assistant faculty member who will also serve as Clinical Site Coordinator for the graduate program and Director of Campus Counseling providing oversight for fundamental counseling and psychological services for students. Must be available to manage crises and related needs on evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • rogram anDoctoral degree in counselor education or related field from a CACREP accredited pd
  • Must be independently licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide therapeutic services
  • Experience in advising, practicum, internship and clinical supervision

Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate internship and practicum operations within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program; Track clinical skills and competencies required by outside accreditor;
  • Provide ongoing communication with contracted clinical sites, university administration, Program Director, program faculty, and students;
  • Teach one graduate course per semester;
  • Serve on university committees applicable to responsibilities: retention committee and CARE Team

Fulfill duties as Director of Campus Counseling:

  • Counsel students (caseload not to exceed five students for individual caseload)
  • Refer students to appropriate long term providers
  • Attend enrollment events, 2-3 department meetings and Orientation weekend in summer months;
  • Oversee graduate interns providing counseling services to students
  • Provide on-call response for extreme emergency situations only
