Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, seeks a full-time, tenure-track Instructor of Business with the ability to teach statistics within the business discipline, business analytics coursework, and general business coursework. The successful faculty candidate will report within the STEM, Health Professions, and Business academic division and may be considered for leadership opportunities within the department. Responsibilities include teaching assignments to support a newly developed curriculum in Business Analytics A.S., course and program level assessment, academic advising, and curricular development. Potential candidates must have experience with the data analysis process and be familiar with data analysis tools. Faculty are expected to advance the College’s focus on student success and completion and will work closely with the College’s leadership to advance the mission of the College’s Strategic Plan.

Required: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field and evidence of successful teaching experience.

Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

Preferred: College teaching experience; graduate coursework in analytics; experience in online course delivery; statistical modeling; business modeling; experience in R programming language or Python; and proficiency using data visualization platforms.

Advertised Salary: $50,000/yr. for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity.
