Midlands Technical College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Welding Instructor to join the Corporate and Continuing Education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive curriculum that covers SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW welding processes ad works with local industry to ensure the curriculum stays aligned with industry needs.
An additional key responsibility will include collaborating with the program director, Business Solutions Directors, and industry partners to develop and deliver custom training solutions for local individual companies, to include exotic metal and Inconel procedures and various pipe welding procedures. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and critical thinking.
This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus
Minimum and Additional Requirements
An an active Certified Welding Inspector certification and one of the following:
- Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of teaching experience
- Associate’s Degree and three years of work experience
- Welding Certificate and a combination of 5 years work and teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
