The Department of Human Ecology, School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, invites applications for the position of Lecturer for the in-person class Storytelling about Science 11:374:310 for the Fall 2025 semester. It is scheduled for Mondays 12:10-3:20.
The successful applicant is expected to take on all responsibilities for teaching the course. This includes weekly course meetings, preparing course presentation and test/evaluation materials, grading tests and assignments, managing course materials through the Canvas course management system, and maintaining regular (remote and/or in person) office hours to answer student questions and to provide student assistance. Master’s or PhD in a related writing, communications or environmental social science field required. The Department of Human Ecology encourages all its teaching faculty to engage students in active and/or experiential learning. Previous course syllabus and materials are available to assist the Lecturer in maintaining continuity.Position Status: Part Time

Minimum Education and Experience
