Job description
The Department of English in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applicants for a full-time visiting lecturer position with a 9-month appointment for the 2025-2026 academic year, with renewal possible depending on satisfactory performance and available future funding. This is a non-tenure accruing position. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025; classes begin on August 25, 2025.
Visiting Lecturers hold non-tenured appointments with primary responsibility for teaching. The normal teaching load for the position is 4/4, with the majority being composition and/or tech writing.
Texas A&M’s English department is home to an undergraduate major and minor, a minor in health humanities, a professional writing minor, a minor in science fiction studies, and MA and PhD programs.

Qualifications
Requires a PhD in English or related field.
