Responsibilities:
Delta State University is looking for an outstanding instructor of mathematics. This is a full-time non-tenure track position. Responsibilities will include the following:
- instruct students in developmental and college-level mathematics courses.
- hold regular office hours.
- provide tutoring services to students as required.
- attend and participate in departmental, college, and university meetings and activities.
- serve on departmental and university committees as assigned.
- assist in recruitment of students.
- provide information and data as requested.
- remain current in the field by participating in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics (MS or MA), or masters degree in mathematics education with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics.
- familiarity with current education trends at the post-secondary level.
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students.
- experience with online learning management systems.
