Description
The Department of Psychology at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2026. We seek applicants who are active scholars of adult well-being (with a preference for someone studying interpersonal relationships). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, experience teaching undergraduates, and an active research program.

The candidate will be expected to regularly teach Introduction to Psychological Science, as well as Lifespan Development I & II (with lab), Family Psychology, or Cross-Cultural Psychology. There is also the opportunity to develop additional 200- or 300-level classes in their area of specialty. The teaching load is 2/2 in the first year, and 3/2 thereafter. All faculty members are expected to involve undergraduates in research and to mentor them in independent scholarship. The Department of Psychology (within the Division of Natural Sciences) expects all of its members to maintain active, productive, sustained programs of scholarship that result in publications. We offer competitive start-up funds and space for research in a well-equipped psychology and neuroscience building.
