Centenary University is seeking to fill an Adjunct Instructor position for Introduction to Lighting Design, to teach the fundamentals of lighting design to theatre majors. The Adjunct Instructor reports directly to the Chair of the Department of Communication and Fine Arts.

Responsibilities Include

  1. Teach an introductory course in theatrical lighting.
  2. Ability to convey ideas in the classroom with enthusiasm and creativity.
  3. Other duties as may be assigned by the Chair and the Office of Academic Affairs.

Required Qualifications

  1. MFA or an equivalent academic degree and/or experience.
  2. Commitment to, and support of, a diverse community.
  3. Ability to interact successfully with a broad constituency.
  4. The ability to set and meet deadlines.
  5. The ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.
