The Department of Food Science and Technology at the National University of Singapore is recruiting up to 11 tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. We also invite applications for Lecturer positions, preferably in the food chemistry domain.

We welcome applications of candidates from all emerging and interdisciplinary areas of food, human nutrition and urban agriculture domains. We especially welcome candidates with research experience on production-to-consumption food system, food and nutrition security as well as the advances of scientific innovations and novel technologies to address current and future global food challenges.

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions:

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in a related field from an internationally reputable university. Postdoctoral experience of at least 2 years is required and industrial experience is highly valued. Appointee will be expected to establish an independent research programme that can compete strongly for external funding. In addition, the appointee is expected to guide research students, and teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. Selection will be based on applicant’s track record of relevant accomplishments and potential for outstanding future contributions.

Lecturer Positions:

Applicants for Lecturer positions should possess a PhD degree in a related field. Postdoctoral experience of at least 2 years is required and industrial experience or prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is highly desirable. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering lectures and tutorials in food chemistry, food science, or related areas. They will also contribute to curriculum development, student mentoring, and supporting academic activities.

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be internationally competitive and includes eligibility for annual performance bonus and salary increment, subsidised housing, medical benefits, and substantial research support.
