Job Summary/Basic Function
The candidate will be expected to teach assigned courses, advise students, and perform research and scholarship. Candidate will serve on college and department committees and participate in official activities at the department, college, and university levels.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in a related field.
- Current athletic training certification through the BOC.
- Licensure in the State of Ohio in Athletic Training at the time of employment.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a clinical athletic trainer.
- Minimum of 5 years experience teaching at the collegiate level.
- Previous experience working with accreditation standards in athletic training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of ongoing scholarly productivity in a related field.
- Previous experience as an athletic training program director, directing undergraduate research, and/or development of the MSAT curriculum.
Essential Functions and percent of time
60% – Teach courses
30% – Research/scholarship
10% – Advise students
