Description
Teaches undergraduate level courses in computer science, both traditional and online delivery. Prepares and updates course syllabi, outlines and exams. Must meet schedule classes and use scheduled classroom time appropriately to maximize student learning. Maintains accurate student records, accessible to each student, respectively. Will help promote programs, lead recruiting efforts, and enhance the campus community.

Be knowledgeable in networking and cybersecurity technologies.
Be able to create and update course curricula relevant to industry needs and standards that promotes student proficiency and application.
Possess or be willing to earn and maintain recognized industry certifications, such as A+, Network+, Security+ within two years of hire.
Be able to teach Cisco Academy CCNA curriculum (must be willing to obtain CCNA and CCIA certifications within two years of hire).
Be able to use appropriate techniques and strategies, which promote and enhance critical, creative, and evaluative thinking capabilities of students.
Implement teaching and learning strategies that reflect each student’s culture, learning styles, special needs, and socio-economic background.
Adhere to Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct of the Education Profession in Florida.
Understand learning and human development to be able to provide a positive learning environment, which supports the intellectual, personal, and social development of all students.
Demonstrates knowledge and understandings of the subject matter. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Experience in using technology in instruction. Ability to work well with others. Experience with or desire to teach distance-learning, online, and/or evening courses. Ability in written communication. Good leadership abilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in computer science or related field.
Substantive experience teaching both traditional and online courses is desirable.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
A Terminal Degree in the field of Computer Science is preferred. College teaching experience in the field of Computer Science. Ability and willingness to explore new technologies in and out of the classroom to support the learner. Willingness to explore Web based instruction and multi-media presentational teaching technologies. Experience with examining and reporting learning outcomes and accreditation standards. Good leadership abilities.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Use of fingers.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDlTIONS:
Works inside in an office/classroom environment.
