Summary of Position
Teaches a variety of courses such as exercise physiology, exercise physiology laboratory, exercise testing and prescription, and works collaboratively with constituents to assist with program administration. Engages in scholarly activities that contribute to the advancement of discipline, such as conducting research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and pursuing external grant opportunities.
Participates in service to the department, university, and professional community. Mentors students, contributes to curriculum development, participates in committee work, and engages with professional organizations to promote the field of respiratory care.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday, including some evenings, and the possibility of some weekend days.
Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: None
Minimum Qualifications: A doctoral degree in exercise physiology or related field or an exceptional ABD candidates will be considered with a letter of support from their dissertation chair attesting that all degree requirements other than the dissertation defense have been completed and that the chair expects the candidate to have the Ph.D. conferred within six months of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience securing external funding through grants or other sources.
