Morgan State University’s Department of Architecture offers a pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design (AREN) and a Master of Architecture (M.Arch), one of only two accredited professional architecture programs in Maryland-and the only one located in Baltimore. The department’s comprehensive curriculum spans design, history, theory, technology, and professional practice, preparing graduates for employment in leading architecture firms and licensure as registered architects. Alumni are well-equipped to assume leadership roles in both public agencies and the private sector. The School of Architecture and Planning (SA+P) at Morgan State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level within the Department of Architecture. This role will focus on Architectural Design, with a particular emphasis on one or more of the following areas: Beginning Design Education and Global Architectural History. The appointment is for a 9.5-month academic year.

A notable reputation among colleagues and within the broader architectural community is highly valued.Required Minimum Qualifications
- A professional degree in architecture
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues in a collaborative environment and relate to a diverse student population
- An agenda for a program of research
Other Preferences for Consideration
- Ph.D., related advanced design degree, or professional licensure in architecture
- Prior teaching / research / professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to pursue external funding and leading transdisciplinary projects.
