East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time, career-track position in Christian ministry. The position begins August, 2025 and will include teaching 24 credit hours per year, contribution to curriculum development, and student advising.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ETBU seeks a qualified individual with church ministry experience and a terminal degree in Christian ministry or a closely related field. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years church staff experience, teaching experience at the undergraduate level, and a commitment to academic scholarship. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a background in youth ministry or New Testament. The successful candidate will communicate well with students and colleagues and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment. Candidates should be committed to the integration of biblical faith and learning. Candidates must demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Faculty are expected to live lifestyles consistent with the University’s biblical standards of morality, temperance, stewardship and maintain active participation in a local Texas Baptist (BGCT) church. ETBU faculty are required to participate in the life of the University via faculty/department/school meetings, University Chapel services, prayer emphases, discipleship group studies, committee participation, local community ministry involvement, and attendance at campus activities and events.
