The University seeks candidates who can contribute to the development of new courses in emerging digital technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach up to eight in-person courses per year in graphic design, or graphic arts. These courses are held on campus. The Assistant Professor of Graphic Arts will also be expected to incorporate experiential learning into their courses.
In addition to teaching, responsibilities include research and service requirements consistent with tenure expectations. This position will start in August 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality and engaging instruction in first- and second-year courses such as Graphic Design, Digital Media, and Web Design.
- Must also demonstrate proficiency in visual communication using Adobe Creative Suite as well as other core media tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S. in Graphic Design or a related field with a Ph.D. in the field preferred.
- Experience teaching courses incorporating experiential learning
