The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Political Science – International Relations. The Assistant Professor position will teach a variety of undergraduate courses in comparative politics and/or international relations, as well as teaching the program’s two courses in the university’s core curriculum, American National Government and Intro to International Politics. Teaching will include both face-to-face and online course modes. The successful candidate will advise undergraduate students. The successful candidate will conduct and publish scholarly research. Research activities may include community engagement and applied research publications. This position will participate in faculty governance in the School of Public Affairs, the College of Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences, and Education, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Ph.D. in Political Science with a field or emphasis in either comparative politics or international relations;
- ABD candidates will be considered if the doctoral degree will be completed by the time of employment.
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
- Experience in college teaching and evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential.
