Department Information

The Department of Construction Management (The Department) offers STEM-designated ACCE-accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Construction Management, as well as a Minor, and four undergraduate Certificate Programs. Our degrees are attractive because our graduates manage work that results in a physical legacy that serves generations (e.g., hospitals, parks, stadiums, schools, museums, theaters, bridges, embassies, etc.).

As part of the College of Architecture and Construction Management, the Department helps students understand how to lead teams, and collaborate with teams of architects, artists, engineers, and other design professionals, while meeting the needs of clients locally and worldwide. In KSU’s Department of Construction Management, students can learn to solve real world construction challenges by ethically applying knowledge, principles of sustainability, and emerging technologies.

The Department is located in metro Atlanta, the major air and rail hub for the southeastern United States. Local industry provides excellent internship opportunities for students who prefer to earn while they learn, and the Department benefits from the exceptional support of its Industry Advisory Board. Local, regional, national, and international construction projects, combined with strong industry support and excellent teaching- and research-oriented faculty, provide students with extensive opportunities, broad perspective, and significant educational resources. The Department annually hosts student career fairs and maintains a decades-long reputation for preparing tomorrow’s construction industry leaders.
