Job Summary
The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking applications for a research faculty position. This position is grant-funded for three years and renewable, depending on job performance, proficiency, and ability to secure grant funding. The candidate is expected to obtain independent grant funding within the first 3 years.
This junior faculty is expected to work closely with our senior faculty in the Center of Excellence in Inflammation, Infectious Diseases, and Immunity. The candidate is expected to have extramural grant funding within a year and also publish in the field of immunology. Candidates with experience in mitochondrial functional assays, telomere analysis, and intracellular pathway research are preferred and encouraged to apply. Experience working with human biospecimens is highly desired.
This position is eligible for conversion to a tenure-track appointment or tenure at the time of appointment, depending on the candidate’s credentials, experience, academic contributions, and alignment with departmental and institutional goals.
