Compensation Range:

$90,727.48 – $144,096.59

Position Summary:

Hiring Salary Range: $90,727.48 to $99,800.22 depending on qualifications.

Assists the Dean in managing, overseeing and coordinating the operations and administration of the Academic Affairs program for an assigned campus to ensure effective delivery and management of all instructional programs. Responsible for Academic program activities including developing planning and coordinating program and course schedules, and faculty assignments. Assists in the development of operating budgets. Manages and supervises personnel.

Job Duties

  • Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
  • Recruits and schedules faculty.
  • Develops, administers, and monitors departmental operating budgets.
  • Monitors student feedback surveys, classroom performance, and appropriate instructional standards for instructors.
  • Resolves faculty and student problems related to instruction.
  • Prepares performance evaluations of faculty.
  • Assists faculty in the development of course and program curriculum, program and course reviews and articulation activities.
  • Manages, develops, and trains staff. Performs needs analysis, arranges, coordinates, delivers, evaluates, and monitors staff development.
  • Provides leadership in the development and maintenance of strategic goals and objectives for the units being supervised.
  • Acknowledges, researches, and responds to complaints received regarding College programs, and College employees. May include liaison and mediation activities among complainant, the College faculty and staff.
  • Attends community meetings for professional associations, business groups, and civic clubs to promote College initiatives and programs.
  • Chairs college-wide committee and coordinates committee events as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree and at least five years of prior-related work experience to include experience supervising faculty, teaching experience, or curriculum development and two years department chair or similar experience. College teaching experience.
