About This Role:

The Associate Vice President of Systems Integrations and Administration plays a critical leadership role in guiding the strategic direction, development, and operational excellence of the university’s ERP environment. Working in close partnership with the Associate Vice President of ERP Operations, this position provides senior-level oversight and coordination across a multi-campus ERP systems team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, and effective technology solutions.
This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of system integrations between the ERP platform and third-party applications, while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture. As a mentor and leader, the Associate Vice President supports staff development through training, guidance, and performance management, promoting the adoption of modern methodologies and best practices.
As a key member of the Shared ERP Operations department, the Associate Vice President ensures alignment with institutional goals, consistency in communication and execution, and a strong commitment to the university’s strategic plan. This position upholds the university’s mission by delivering innovative, reliable, and user-focused technology services to students, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
What You’ll Do – Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with ERP Operations Teams: Partner with ERP operations staff to ensure the enterprise environment effectively supports institutional goals and operational requirements.
  • Support and Optimize Enterprise Applications: Engage with functional users to troubleshoot, configure, and enhance the ERP system and other third-party enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with user needs and institutional objectives.
  • Coordinate with Institutional Leadership: Work closely with administrative leaders across constituent institutions to ensure enterprise systems deliver the outcomes necessary for efficient and effective business operations.
  • Lead Systems Integration Initiatives: Supervise and mentor staff in the design and implementation of system integrations, utilizing modern development methodologies and best practices to ensure scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Collaborate with external vendors to resolve technical issues, explore configuration options, and implement solutions that support both routine operations and strategic projects.
  • Evaluate System Updates and Integration Impacts: Review and assess product updates and new releases to determine their impact on institutional systems and integrations, ensuring proactive planning and minimal disruption.

  • Relational database scripting, modern application development, enterprise application configuration and support, application security configuration, application development, system and application integration.
  • Skilled in researching, documenting, and testing application releases.
  • Ability to collaborate with vendor support teams.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning database systems and managing data for interfaces and integrations.
  • Strong written and oral skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move objects up to 15 pounds.
  • Operate keyboard, mouse, and office equipment.
  • Communicate effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Required.
  • 8+ years related experience in the following:
    • Ellucian Ecosystem and Ethos Platform
    • System Integration
    • SDKs and APIs
    • Workflow Engines
    • Leading, Mentoring and Developing Teams
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s preferred.
  • Experience with additional Ellucian products and the Evisions suite, job scheduling tools: AppWorx/UC4/Automic.
