Thiel College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, open-rank faculty position beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year in the Department of Nursing.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic educator and scholar who is excited to join a dynamic department and work with similarly dedicated academic and clinical educators in a collaborative and inclusive environment. The listed position is a nine-month appointment faculty position with option for additional compensation for summer teaching and clinical supervision. Thiel College will provide licensure fees and professional development funding.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach 24 credits at the undergraduate level with additional compensation for summer teaching.
  • Provide clinical supervision at assigned hospital/education for on-campus lecture/lab.
  • Contribute to curriculum development to ensure student learning objectives are met
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to remediation when necessary
    • Assist with CCNE accreditation activities
    • Maintain licensure and/or certification

Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching in higher education
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills in a team-oriented environment and a history of successful time management
  • A master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program required; Ph.D. or D.N.P preferred
  • Must have current RN license in Pennsylvania
  • Knowledge of BSN-level assessment of clinical education preferred
