Job description

Responsibilities
* Oversee and supervise all Student Engagement functions and staff, including performance evaluations.
* Manages various Student Engagement websites and social media pages.
* Administer the budget for the engagement teams
* Schedule regular meetings with Department Chairs to discuss and update information relative to their particular major.
* Develop contacts with full and part time faculty for the purpose of providing assistance to students in their majors.
* Administer online management tools to include, but not limited to, job resource for students, alumni and employers and student engagement tracking
* Demonstrates leadership and guidance implementing innovative high quality and student-centered approaches to student success in curricular and co-curricular experiences including, student activities, recreation, professional development, student clubs and organizations, and student government.
* Establishes the program outcomes for student affairs functional areas, monitors assessment of those outcomes, and develops plans of action for improvement based on the assessment of those outcomes.
* Ensures all student engagement programs and services follow state and federal laws and College policies.
* Attends and participates in student programming and other campus and leadership activities
* Utilizes analytics and data to design, develop and implement inventive, effective student engagement and services.
* Tracks usage across offices and prepares reports for dissemination to various College consituents
* Collects, analyzes and reports data on on-campus activities, recreation, intramural, student leadership programming, club activity, etc.
* Represents Flagler College at national/regional conferences
* Serves on all appropriate College committees as suggested by the Vice President of Student Affairs.
* Work with Student Affairs offices to implement and track student learning outcomes.
* Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master’s degree in closely related field
* 10 years’ experience in Higher Education Leadership, including Campus Recreation and Student Activities

CHARACTERISTICS PREFERRED:
* Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and to work cooperatively with specific constituents
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exhibit good judgement in making decisions concurrent with College policy
* Ability to communication effectively both verbally and in writing
* Ability to work without close supervision and to make proper independent decisions
* Ability to work effectively with members of the College community
* Working knowledge of current computer systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with assessment of student affairs programs and learning outcomes

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Physical Requirements:

o Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
* Physical Activities:

o Climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and ability to communicate appropriately with student/colleagues
