Primary Purpose of Position
This is a full-time 12-month Director of Pre-Clinical Education position for the new North Carolina A&T PA Program. The position will oversee all aspects of the pre-clinical phase of the program and participate in ensuring the innovative and dynamic development of the didactic curriculum. Duties include but are not limited to collaborating with the program director in designing the didactic curriculum; oversight, coordination, implementation, and assessment of the didactic curriculum; maintain a working knowledge of the ARC-PA standards and ensure their compliance within didactic curriculum; engaging in classroom instruction, leading test preparation and examination delivery, designing opportunities for faculty development serving on committees assigned; advise and maintain mentor relationship with assigned students; working closely with the program director to ensure accuracy of program reporting; serving on committees assigned; assisting with the student selection process; performing any other responsibilities delegated by the PA Program Director.

The John R and Kathy R. Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences offers baccalaureate degree programs in Kinesiology, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Speech, and Health Services management. Minimum Requirements
* Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
* Master’s Degree (Doctorate degree preferred)
* Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
High degree of organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
* 5+ years in PA education experience
* 5+ years as a clinically practicing PA
* Have excellent interpersonal skills
* Have strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient written and verbal language skills
- Experience in didactic curriculum development and review strongly preferred.
Teaching experience including Simulation experience helpful
Required License or Certification
* Eligible for PA licensure in North Carolina
* Current NCCPA certification
