The University of Jamestown seeks a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Director of the Center for Leadership Development at the Unruh School of Character in Leadership (USCIL). This role involves collaborating with the USCIL Executive Director to design and build a robust, innovative leadership development center providing non-traditional leadership training for individuals, organizations, and communities. The Director will oversee the design and facilitation of conferences, workshops, certificates, not-for-credit experiences, seminars, and more.

This position is a full-time, 12-month staff position eligible for the University of Jamestown benefit package. The position is in-person working in Fargo, North Dakota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the USCIL Executive Director to create and develop a comprehensive center for non-traditional leadership development.
  • Develop and facilitate leadership training programs for diverse audiences, including individuals, organizations, and communities.
  • Organize and manage conferences, workshops, seminars, and other educational events.
  • Create and administer certificate programs and non-credit experiences.
  • Foster partnerships with external organizations to enhance the center’s offerings and reach.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of leadership development programs and make improvements as needed.
  • Manage the center’s budget and resources efficiently.
  • Promote the center’s activities and achievements through various communication channels.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Leadership, Education, Organizational Development).
  • Proven record of developing and facilitating non-traditional training programs.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practical doctorate in leadership.
  • Experience in higher education or a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in leadership development.
