Department of Academic Affairs

POSITION SUMMARY:The Director will assist the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) in maintaining the quality and integrity of the university’s academic programs in Pryor, including the delivery of high quality student services while engaging with the Pryor and Mayes County communities and will oversee the daily operations of the Pryor campus, including but not limited to facility management, campus safety, and staff supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Exercise primary responsibility for direct supervision of the Pryor branch campus;
  • Provide general direction to employees assigned to RSU-Pryor;
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, faculty, administrative personnel, building occupants and members of the community;
  • Recommend employment decisions relative to RSU-Pryor;
  • Identify educational needs for RSU-Pryor;
  • Ensure observance of policies and procedures for RSU-Pryor;
  • Coordinate activities of faculty, academic department heads and deans as it relates to delivery of curriculum in Pryor;
  • Assist in development and management of the budget;
  • Advise the VPAA on matters related to RSU-Pryor;
  • Supervise development and enhancement of RSU-Pryor;
  • Coordinate with VP for Enrollment Management in campus recruitment and retention efforts;
  • Coordinate with the VP for Development in the generation of grants and fund raising for RSU-Pryor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution;
  • Master’s degree preferred.

REPORTS TO: Vice President for Academic Affairs

SUPERVISION GIVEN TO: Pryor Faculty, Staff, and Student Workers

HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, some nights and weekends may be required

POSITION: Professional, Full-Time, FLSA, Exempt
