Job description

DeSales University’s Department of Education housed in the College of Arts, Education, and Humanities invites applications for a full-time position as Assistant Professor of Education to begin August 2026. Candidates should have expertise in current Education research and instructional methodology, with a specialty focus in curriculum and instruction, working with diverse students, and effective pedagogy. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate coursework, maintain an active program of scholarship and professional development, and engage in service to the University.

The Department seeks a faculty member who is:

  • rooted in research-based instructional practices,
  • enjoys teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and
  • respects the Catholic, Salesian mission of the university.

A Ph.D. or Ed.D. is required; A.B.D. considered. College teaching experience is preferred. In addition to teaching four courses per semester, the faculty member will engage in service to the University and maintain an active program of scholarship.
