Position Information

Description & Details: Two full-time Lecturer positions with possibility for annual renewal, starting August 16, 2025, to teach college-level writing courses at the first-year and upper-division level.

These are nine-month lecturer positions with the following yearly workload: 90% teaching, 10% service. This amounts to teaching 4 courses per semester.

The primary teaching assignments will be first-year writing courses ENGL 110 and/or 120 and upper-division courses such as ENGL 320, 321, 322, 324, 325, 326, and/or 357. Classes may be both in-person and asynchronous online as needed.

Work Schedule: 40 Hours per week

Hiring Range: Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s in English (or related field) or MFA

College-level teaching experience

Effective oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of genre-based approach to teaching writing

Experience teaching first-year and upper-division writing classes
