Job description

Non tenure track (NTT) faculty are expected to contribute primarily through teaching and administrative work such as supporting regional office adjuncts and supervisors, assisting staff, and advising students. This NTT professor of practice position will support fieldwork in the credential programs with a focus on supervising and mentoring interns and coordinating university supervisors. Additionally, this position collaborates with the fieldwork team to review applications for interns and student teachers, assign fieldwork supervisors, and support fieldwork administrative processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in education or related field.
  • Valid California teaching credential (Multiple Subject and/or Education Specialist preferred).
  • At least three years of successful P-12 teaching experience.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting teaching interns or student teachers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with California’s teacher credentialing process and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate (or ABD) in education, curriculum and instruction, or educational leadership.
  • University teaching experience in educator preparation programs.
  • Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and inclusive education practices.
  • Experience collaborating with regional districts and educational stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting a wide range of learners and education professionals.

Maximum: $33.45
Minimum: $33.00
