Position: Instructor

(Full-Time, Non-Tenure Track)

Department: Education

Reports To: Department Chair

FLSA: Exempt

Marian University invites applicants for the position of Instructor in Education, starting August 2025. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement and research, as well as service to the college and community. Marian University is an institution that values innovative teaching, advising and mentoring.

Teaching responsibilities include teaching 4 courses each semester. Candidates should exhibit skill and enthusiasm in teaching undergraduates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the discipline in our undergraduate program. Courses are delivered in a face-to-face, in-person format on our Fond du lac Campus.
  • Timely communication with students.
  • Timely instruction and assessment of course material.
  • Service to the University Community.
  • Participation in Department and University professional development, program development, and collaborative meetings.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Master’s in Education with preparation in the area in which you wish to teach; terminal degree in the discipline is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of K-12 teaching experience within the discipline of preparation.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Experience with in-person Higher-Education teaching.
  • Experience in learning management system platforms.
