Salary Range: $21/hr with Bachelor’s Degree, $23/hr with Master’s Degree
Work Location: On-Site
Campus Location: Gateway Boone
Job Summary
Provide in-person instruction for non-native English speakers on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Job Duties:
- Plan and execute lessons for English Language learners that will increase their proficiency with comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing in the English Language.
- Work with online learning tools so that students can continue to study outside of the classroom.
- Maintain good documentation of class attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
- Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
Additional Skills Requested:
- Must be able to keep good attendance records.
