The Department of Fine Arts at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FA 9a, Introduction to Digital Photography, for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters. This four-credit course is a studio class, an introduction to the visual forms and concepts of the photographic image. A range of digital techniques is covered along with aspects of the history of photography, intended for both studio majors and non-majors. In the fall, the class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15am – 1:05pm, timing for the spring section will be determined by room availability at a later date.
Candidates with a Master of Fine Arts degree or equivalent and demonstrated teaching at the college or university level will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is April 30, 2025.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
