The University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time Lecturer of Finance to begin in Fall 2026.
This is a nine-month contract position, initially appointed for two years, with the possibility of renewal at the College’s discretion. The lecturer position includes the full benefits package for non-tenure-track faculty at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Lecturers at UNH are represented by the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Please note that UNH is unable to sponsor applicants for employment visas for this position.
Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to student-focused teaching excellence, a background in the practice of investments and/or real estate finance, and a willingness to engage in activities beyond the classroom, such as serving on faculty committees, attending college meetings, coordinating program offerings, and mentoring students. Candidates should demonstrate skill in working with diverse constituencies in the academic environment and an ability to cultivate external relations with community leaders, institutions, and stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities
- The full-time lecturer will teach seven courses per academic year, including courses related to real estate finance. This teaching portfolio entails multiple course preparations as assigned by the Department Chairperson. Classes will be taught in-person, and the candidate is expected to be on campus for regular office hours and other university or college responsibilities, such as coordinating the Minor in Real Estate Finance and Investments program and/or other service as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience
- A relevant graduate degree and/or equivalent professional training and expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred qualifications include prior successful teaching experience, relevant industry experience, a Chartered Financial Analyst license, and/or background in real estate finance.
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to meet the appropriate faculty qualifications based on AACSB accreditation standards by maintaining engagement and currency in the finance field.
The Department of Accounting and Finance offers a Finance Option within the business major, a Minor in Real Estate Finance and Investments program, a Master of Science in Finance program, and several finance courses for the MBA program. Finance is one of the largest and most important program offerings on campus.
The Peter T. Paul College is an AACSB accredited business school in the state of New Hampshire with world-class academic programs in business administration, economics, and hospitality management. Compensation Pay Range:
$100,000 – $120,000
Salary is commensurate with experience.
