Description: Instructor in Psychology, Tenure Track, 9-Month Contract paid over 12 months. Two positions, one being hired for Spring 2026 in January and the other for Fall 2026 in August.

Job Summary: IVCC anticipates filling this full-time, tenure track position to begin January 2026. Teach and assess student learning outcomes in Psychology courses. Develop and promote curriculum designed both as transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities, and applied degree programs. In collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of IVCC’s general education philosophy. Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and community events; and assist with student recruitment.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited college/university OR a Master’s degree in a related field plus 18 graduate credit hours in Psychology required. Ability to teach courses in a variety of formats (In-Person, Day-Time, Evening, Online, Blended, and Dual Credit) and at various locations (main campus, extension campus, high school and dual credit locations). Previous teaching experience at the community college level; previous online teaching experience or familiarity with online pedagogy; familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies; and familiarity with academic assessment preferred. Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.
