Job Description
Missouri University of Science and Technology’s O’Keefe Critical Minerals Center is looking for a post-doctoral fellow to assist in its research initiatives. The Missouri Department of Economic Development recently awarded the O’Keefe Center $15.5 million to build capacity and conduct a 2-year feasibility study to evaluate the viability of producing battery-grade materials from Missouri critical minerals sources. The successful candidate will assist the center director and the research team to administer this research program and advance his/her own relevant research. Their duties will include project management, helping to coordinate research meetings, assembling individual sections into final and progress reports, and providing general support to the leadership team. The successful candidate will also be expected to help the leadership team draft grant proposal applications related to critical minerals.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
PhD in economics, engineering, or science.
Preferred Requirements:
Research experience in sustainability (including life cycle assessment) or critical minerals. They should also have a record of publishing in quality journals and strong technical communication skills.
