Clinical Position
Excellent opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team under the direction of Esther Deblinger, Ph.D., co-developer of Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and to accrue hours toward licensure. The CARES Institute is offering a full-time, temporary clinical postdoctoral fellowship in childhood adversity/trauma.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments of children who have experienced trauma/maltreatment, providing evidence-based therapy to children and families impacted by child abuse, violence, loss, and other traumas, and conducting mental health screenings for children entering foster care. Services may be provided in-person and/or by telehealth. Also, professional development opportunities such as presentations to community organizations.
A doctoral degree in Psychology is required and child clinical experience is preferred. There may be the possibility of some remote work. Stipend is $62,000. Benefits include vacation time, sick time, and individual coverage provided by the University-sponsored Postdoctoral Fellow group comprehensive health insurance plan.
